The Purves's daughter Eustacia m. Richard Grandin, and their daughter is Temple Grandin, b. 1947, who is autistic and became famous for her ability to communicate with animals, especially cattle. For much fascinating background, see Temple Grandin: Voice for the Voiceless, by Annette Wood, 2016, www.skyhorsepublishing.com.
